Peter Cymrot joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2019. Prior to coming to Columbia, Mr. Cymrot served as General Counsel for Achievement First Public Charter Schools and as Assistant General Counsel for Success Academy Charter Schools. He also worked as a Litigation Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and as an investigator into allegations of police misconduct for the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board.
Mr. Cymrot received his J.D. from the New York University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cymrot received a B.A. from Amherst College. He is admitted to practice law in New York.
