Beryl A Abrams
Beryl Abrams came to Columbia in 1980 as an Associate General Counsel. She handles copyright, trademark and other intellectual property issues, matters relating to sponsored research and compliance, and corporate and academic governance. She has also been a lecturer at the Columbia Law School, giving seminars in intellectual property law from 1981 to 1997. She previously worked as a litigator while an Associate at the law firms of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison (1975-1979) and Hogan & Hartson (1973-1975).
Ms. Abrams attended law school in Morningside Heights, receiving her J.D. from Columbia in 1973 where she was an editor of the Columbia Law Review. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970. She is admitted to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia.
